Jazzooo - Doug Robinson

I’m Doug Robinson, a San Diego-based composer and multi-instrumentalist.

To your left are everything from finished tracks to rough mixes, by myself, Michelle Abby and my band Mo' Ritmo. From time to time, I'll also use my Planet artist page for posting sketches of songs in the works.

I've got a lot of finished work available, in different genres. Check out my website (dougrobinson.com) and you'll see jazz albums recorded with guitarist Mike Stern or drummer Peter Erskine, as well as my San Diego trio, JAZZOOO. My new vocal album, MIDLIFE CHRYSALIS is there as well as both my collaborations with singer/songwriter Michelle Abby.

In the pipeline--a lot of stuff! A solo piano album, a live JAZZOOO album, some tracks I'm producing for talented friends Bruce Gilbert and Henry Austin, and a new album by my Mexican band, Mo' Ritmo.

Dan 'Dot' Richards made a beautiful website with photos of the recording session of TWO DAYS IN NOVEMBER, which he recorded on my VS2480. You can see photos and read about the recording sessions at www.thelisteningsessions.com/jazzooo.htm Previous CDs, most still available from www.dougrobinson.com:

Talking To Dogs (1991); Art Can’t Hurt You (1994); Plays Well With Others (1997); The JAZZIZ Holiday Album (2000); SitJazzDown (2001); Let Freedom Swing (2002); Andy Robinson's Exotic America (co-producer 2004) and the soundtrack to the feature film Lost Lake which is now available to rent in Blockbuster and was recorded on a VS1680.
