The Sun King Reborn
The Sun King Reborn is a one man project. The music on this site reflects my interests in classic rock merged with country soul. I do this for my own relaxation. You'll be able to tell from my songs that I'm not a perfectionist! I'd say that the song writing is much more important and enjoyable to me than the act of recording. Once I get an initial rough track down, I rarely return to it for those final touches which make everyone else here sound so professional.
My main instruments are a Kurzweil PC2X keyboard, a Hammond XK-3 system, a Nord Stage Eighty Eight, a Moog Voyager, an Access Indigo-2 synthesizer, a Roland XV5050 module, an E-mu Vintage Pro module, a Gibson L-200 acoustic guitar, along with numerous soft synths and samples. I write and perform all of the parts using my VS1824 recorder. Additional recording gear includes my beautiful Pendulum Audio Quartet recording channel, a Weiss EQ1-MK2 digital equalizer, a Cranesong Ibis analogue equalizer, a Cranesong STC-8 compressor/limiter, an Eventide H8000 effects unit, a Cranesong HEDD 192 AD/DA converter, three Roland M-1000 digital mixers, an Apogee Rosetta converter, an Aphex 207 stereo preamp, a TC-Helicon VoiceOne, a Midiman DigiPatch, and Edirol UM-880 midi interface, an Echo Layla, and a Furman AR-1220 AC line voltage regulator. My main microphone is a Brauner Phantom C.
